Actually, the volcano is completely harmless and gives off no heat - the erupting lava is simulated with baking soda and water. The kit includes everything you need to construct the volcano: papier-mache, the "chemicals" necessary to produce the eruptions, activity booklet, etc. Ages 8 and up.
