The Steam Boat Putt-Putt (it's the sound it makes while under power) is powered by a small candle (3 are included) which is used to make steam in the boiler. This type of toy boat has been around for almost 100 years. The boat gets very hot while navigating the high seas so caution must be used with smaller sailers -yes matches are required too! The boats are multi-colored tin and are about 5 inches long. The boat comes in somewhat flimsy (read potentially bent-up) box and includes a plastic rudder. Birthday cake candles can be used when the included fuel supply runs out. A true classic toy! |
