We closed that store in 1990 and started our wholesale business selling our nature and science related items to nationally recognized museum and science stores. FULFILLMENT & BACK ORDER STATUS We do our best to keep everything in stock and ship within 48 hours but sooner or later we are bound to have a run on a particular item or two and be out of stock when you order. If this is the case we will notify you usually by E-mail or sometimes by phone and let you know of the delay. We will give you the opportunity to cancel your order or hold out until we can get the product to you. Usually delays will not be more than 3 or 4 extra days. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship your order. SHIPPING METHODS For orders that weigh under a pound we like to ship Priority One US mail because it's just as fast as UPS - sometimes faster - and the cost is substantially less. One to two pound orders are shipped either via UPS or Priority One Mail depending on which service will provide you with the cheapest cost. Usually orders over 3 pounds are sent UPS. Orders to HI or AK always go via USPS. It's very hard to determine shipping rates outside of the US and be reasonably accurate without knowing the weight, delivery time needed and location of the world where you want things sent. The prices go up dramatically as the size and or weight increases and therefore it's almost impossible to be fair to everyone unless we know what is being shipped. We do our level best to get Air orders shipped the same day. This service starts out at approximately $16.00 or so for a light-weight order so be sure you really need this kind of quick delivery before you specify it on the order form. Next Day Air is even worse - around $24.00 for starters. The best thing to do is call us for a shipping price quote. |
