padGalileo Thermometer

The Galileo Glass Thermometer is 17 inches tall and was invented centuries ago by Galileo who discovered that the densities of liquids change as temperatures change. Each of the glass balls inside the thermometer is exactly weighed by partially filling each sphere with liquid. As the temperature rises, the liquid in the glass cylinder becomes less dense and the spheres sink slowly to the bottom. The lowest temperature ball floating at the top of the cylinder tells the correct temperature. This unique thermometer is a great conversation piece and makes a colorful first class decoration in any room. Measures temperature in Celsius degrees only.
